Celebrate Lawn Fawn

The current Lawn Fawn challenge to Dust "Em Off (use something you haven't in a while) was embarrassingly easy given my absurdly large stash. I settled on some Mister Huey misters in red and yellow, and got a nice orange in the middle, too. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches (Sentiment Sampler), and the gems are all different colors. Unfortunately you can't see how shiny it is from the picture. I forgot how much fun the misters are. I appreciate your visit.

Be Jolly

I am playing along with the Mojo Mondays sketch challenge. I love all the layers in the sketch. I used some holiday paper from My Minds Eye, along with a sentiment sticker from SRM and ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel. I love packs of paper- they make matching so much easier! Have a good Sunday!

Way to Go

I'm playing along with the Paper Smooches challenge. It was an inspiration challenge and had a gorgeous typography photo. I have a couple friends who are graphic designers, which has made me more aware of fonts, and I love typography. I used some fonts from the Sentiment Sampler set. I chose the design of the card from the way the sign looked on the wall, slightly off center, and with the frame on the sign. Have a great weekend.

With Sympathy

I started with the sketch from JUGS for this sympathy card. I used some letterpress paper I bought a while ago, which gives the white piece a thick, classy look. The leaf cluster is from Hero Arts, and the sentiment is Paper Smooches. I punched the edge with a Fiskars punch and added a little twine. Let me know if you need more product details - I'm happy to check, but forgot to leave myself a note with the card itself. Thanks for coming by.

I'm also entering this at Simon Says Stamp's challenge for Sympathy cards.

Retro Casual

I'm playing along with the Cas-ual Fridays challenge to make a masculine card. This is a tad more neutral than masculine, but it doesn't have to have sports and brown on it to be masculine, right? :) I always like the Retro Sketches, which I've used here, too. All the paper is from the Life of the Party set from Basic Grey. The sentiment is Paper Smooches.

Play Date Cafe

For the Play Date Cafe challenge, I started from this fun pumpkin 3-D sticker. It has a slate colored circle around the edge. I used paper from a pack from Authentique. It's double-sided paper, so I got a fun inside to the card, too. What looks like a journaling card is just part of a sheet from the pack. The thankful stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels. What a dangerous place that is! :) Thanks for coming by.

A Blog Named Hero Die Cuts

The new challenge for ABNH was to use die cuts. I have these lovely stacking flowers that I can't get enough of. I used 3 different papers from a set of Authentique papers on top of a Hero Arts/Basic Grey stamp. A little seam binding finished it off. There's a little gem in the center of the flower, though it's hard to see. I appreciate your visit!

I adore this stamp from Paper Smooches. I remember seeing it in a Paper Crafts Magazine card a few years ago and coveting it for way too long before I gave in and ordered it. It comes with a bunch of other great sentiments. I stamped it in black, and then lined it with my white gel pen for a little definition.

I was inspired by the Retro Sketches sketch. I wanted to use strips of paper, but came across this Authentique paper I've been holding on to (why do we hoard paper when we should use it so others can love it too? :)) I need to send some thank yous for my last day at work, and this will be just right for one of the guys. I'm playing along with a Paper Smooches contest!
